The UK Diploma in ICM is now administered by the FICM (formerly the IBTICM - Intercollegiate Board for Training in ICM). This is a joint faculty of the Royal Colleges of Anaesthetists, Physicians and Surgeons. The Anaesthetists predominate, perhaps in keeping with the distribution of intensivists in the UK, and the IBTICM is co-located with the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The RCA address changed in mid-2006 - they and the FICM are no longer at Russell Square, but are now at:
Churchill House, 35 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4SG
The IBTICM telephone number is now 020 7092 1651, and fax number is 020 7092 1730. The IBTICM Administrator is James Goodwin (Ernie Hayes has retired), and he is extremely helpful - you can email him via the FICM contact form, or directly at ficm@rcoa.ac.uk. The IBTICM website is at www.ficm.ac.uk.
